With the world in a lockdown due to the coronavirus, last year I implemented a system to facilitate my murder mystery events via Zoom technology using experienced actors as the suspects. Since then, the mysteries’ popularity has taken off and I now need more flexibility by expanding the number of individuals who comprise my acting troupe –Especially teen and 20-ish performers.

ACTORS CAN BE LOCATED ANYWHERE!

Currently, my actors live in cities from coast to coast and from border to border, including Virginia, Georgia, Florida, Louisiana, Texas, Oregon and (of course) Wisconsin. The internet means that rehearsals and performances are as easy as accessing Zoom and playing a role in the comfort of your own surroundings. No need to travel or to memorize dialogue. The script can be surreptitiously positioned out of view of the camera and, using a green screen, you can be anywhere in the world.

MY ACTORS ARE PAID . . .

That’s right! They are independent contractors who receive W-9s at income tax time. If you are asked to join the troupe, you’ll have a small supplemental revenue stream that will be paid into your PayPal account within hours of each mystery event.

As independent contractors, actors take advantage of all opportunities and aren’t always available when I need them. I’m currently booking murder mystery performances into the fall and the winter - thus the need to expand. A quick response would be appreciated.
